Fellow international students in the U.S. have something to tell you!
“Thank you so much for an outstanding webinar! I was telling (another attendee) how in awe I was with how concisely and engagingly you presented such dense information. … Your generosity in sharing your time and expertise means a lot to us.”
“Thank you for the detailed answer! I barely knew about the Pre-OPT, and there are only so many people around me who have applied for the Pre-OPT, so what you shared has been a great help. It helped me to reach out to my school based on what you shared. I wish you happy holidays and again thank you so much!”
“It is so helpful to know everything that you share with us and it simplifies our lives! By the way, thanks to your post about the new 22 STEM programs I literally discovered that my second major is now listed in the STEM program which is so cool! I even called DHS to verify it haha. Thank you for everything you do and please please keep going!”

There were so many things that I learned today. To be more specific, on top of your super helpful website, I loved how you created the GPT website to help students learn about their eligibility and timeline. Also, I was unaware that it is not recommended to travel while waiting for OPT approval and that I need CPT to work off-campus even when I am not getting paid. These are a few things out of so many different things that I learned today. It was a fantastic webinar. Thank you so much for your time and effort!
I-765 form needs to be submitted within 30 days after OPT approval.
My graduation date of 12/14/2025, earliest date I can apply: 09/15/2025 (90 days before graduation), latest date you can apply: 02/12/2026 (60 days after graduation)
Timline for applying for OPT
I learned the difference between OPT and CPT! Thank you so much!
