3. (If you filed the online OPT/STEM OPT application) The date you submitted the online OPT application: 1/31/2022 – since the OPT ends on 1/31/2022, it was important for the student to make sure the USCIS Receives the application by 1/31/2022 per immigration regulation. Therefore the student opted for online filing and the online Form I-765 was submitted around 6:47 PM CST on 1/31/2022 but the confirmation page said the student submitted the application on 2/1/2022 which would result in denial. The DSO issued the supporting letter for the student that states the student submitted the online application on 1/31/2022. In the meantime, the student tried to get hold of USCIS representatives to confirm the submission date. USCIS representatives confirmed the application was submitted on 1/31/2022.
