When USCIS announced the expansion of the Premium Processing service for OPT/STEM OPT students, SEVIS SAVVY was among the few to share the news with international students.

Once again, SEVIS SAVVY will be one of the earliest that share a step-by-step guide for international students to learn how to complete the online Form I-907, Request for Premium Processing Service.
Before we get to the premium processing online application, it is worth noting that the premium processing application is designed to expedite your OPT/STEM OPT application.
Thus, in order to start the online Form I-907 premium processing application, students do need a submitted Form I-765 application whether it is filed via mail or via MyUSCIS (online).

In addition, how to start filing the Online Form I-907 Premium Processing application is different for students who filed paper I-765 applications and online I-765 applications.

How to complete online Form I-907 Premium Processing for OPT/ STEM OPT
- OPT/STEM OPT applicants who filed a paper I-765 application
- OPT/STEM OPT applicants who filed an online I-765 application
OPT/STEM OPT applicants who filed a paper I-765 application
- Log into MyUSCIS and click File a form online. To learn how to create a MyUSCIS account, go to Step by step guide to create the USCIS account for OPT online application
- Search “I-907” on the dropdown menu and click I-907, Request for Premium Processing Service
- Click “link your case using the Online Access Code (OAC)” to link previously filed OPT/ STEM OPT paper application Form I-765
- Refer to the Form I-797 to type the “Receipt Number” which is a combination of 13 letters and numbers
- Refer to the Form I-797 to enter the “Online Access Code” and your date of birth
OPT/ STEM OPT applicants who successfully followed the instruction will be able to link the previously filed Form I-765 to start the premium processing application. Click here to continue completing the online premium processing application.
OPT/STEM OPT applicants who filed an online I-765 application
Log into MyUSCIS and click File a form online. To learn how to create a MyUSCIS account, go to Step by step guide to create the USCIS account for OPT online application
- Search “I-907” on the dropdown menu and click I-907, Request for Premium Processing Service
- Check the previously submitted I-765 OPT/ STEM OPT application then click the “Submit” button
- Thoroughly read through the “Before You Start Your Application” information to continue your premium processing application
- After reading through all the information, click the “Next” button
- Confirm the Security Reminder that says the incomplete application will be deleted after 30 days and click the “Start” button
- Check that you are the applicant and click the “Next” button
- Check that you are completing the application and click the “Next” button
- Type your legal first and last name as in your passport and click the “Next” button
- Enter your phone and email address
- Enter the mailing address to receive related documents upon the application submission
- Check “Yes” if your current physical address is the same as your mailing address. If not, click “No” and provide the physical address. Then click the “Next” button
- If the address cannot be verified by USCIS, a pop-up message will appear. You can click the “Edit” button and edit the address or if you are sure that the entered address is correct, click the “Ignore” button
- Type your “A-Number” or check “I do not have or know my A-number.” The USCIS Online Account number should be auto-filled but if it is empty, you can find the online account number on your MyUSCIS page or check “I do not have or know my USCIS Online Account Number”
- Review the auto-filled Form I-765 information
- Type your legal first and last name as in your passport as well as the submitted Form I-765 and click the “Next” button
- Type your mailing address of you (the I-765 applicant) and click the “Next” button
- If the address cannot be verified by USCIS, a pop-up message will appear. You can click the “Edit” button and edit the address or if you are sure that the entered address is correct, click the “Ignore” button
- If you have additional information to submit, click the “Add a response” button, or click the “Next” button
- Check the premium processing application fee for OPT/ STEM OPT students ($1,685) and review the warning message. If you have warnings, go back to the page and make changes accordingly. If not, click the “Next” button
- Review all the information that you provided including the mailing address and your legal name
- After confirmation all information is correct, click the “Next” button
- Check the box to agree to the statement and click the “Next” button
- Review the information regarding the false statement and click the check box to acknowledge
- Type your legal name in English and click the “Next” button
- Click the “Pay and Submit” button to proceed with the payment and pay for the $1,685 application fee
Once you make the payment, you will be able to see that the I-907 premium processing application is added under “Your Cases” in MyUSCIS.
